Emily’s Wedding

What a stunning, natural bride! Emily had a clear view of what she wanted for this special day (with beautiful weather for an outside, Four Season’s ceremony). She had a large wedding party and we all had a great time getting ready in one of the hotels huge conference rooms. Emily’s mother was a dream to work with as well and when I came back for touch-ups after the ceremony, both ladies (the bride and MOB) were in need of minor lip gloss and a little shine control. However, the service of getting touched up in front of friends and family, was the celebrity treatment that no one can resist!

My Bride Lisa

I didn’t meet Lisa or her Mother until the day of the wedding. When they came to me they were in the throws of last minute decisions and thinking about what else they had to do before Lisa could walk down the aisle.

Lisa brought me a picture of Scarlett Johannson and we immediatly clicked! I did the bridal version (not the red carpet version) with a fully lined eye and a pop of color.

Her mother was not as easy. Having had a bad makeup experience, she was nervous about letting me create a look for her on this important day. We took it slow, I asked a lot of questions and took into account that she doesn’t wear makeup at all. In the end, we came up with natural yet “dressed up” look for the second most important woman at the wedding. She was beautiful!

I am so happy to share these photo’s of both ladies (courtesy of Amber Snow Photography)

Photo Shoot at The Oasis

Check out these beautiful images from Eric Von! We shot with Beth Simpson, the wedding coordinator out at the Oasis and I love these pics! Beth is not usually the one in front of the camera but that’s why these are so great! They capture real beauty and show how anyone can transform right in front of your eyes. Enjoy!

Vintage Bride

This is Allison, beautiful and VERY comfortable in front of the camera. A modern day women with a fondness for all things vintage, 1930′s vintage to be more specific. I had to step back and blink a few times when we were finished with hair and makeup to be sure I was still in 2011. I was so excited when she asked me to do this look for her and I couldn’t have had a better model! As most brides choose to “nod” to a certain era, Allison went all out with red lips, winged liner and big ol’ lashes. I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results. Thank you Allison!
